Poltrona Frau Xi lamps

The Xi lamps are made of blown glass and saddle leather, conveying the feeling of lanterns swaying in the room. Their light source combines two interconnected pieces of glass. The upper glass features a special, evenly ribbed surface and is available in amber, emerald, sapphire or moonstone. It is transparent and lets light through, while the lower glass, in white with a mother-of-pearl surface, produces warm, diffuse light. In the table lamp version, the light source consists of a large luminaire positioned on a metal base with a natural brass finish. A Saddle Extra leather strap serves as a handle for moving the lamp when needed, and the light can be adjusted via a touch on/off system with dimmer. The Xi lamp collection offers various types, including pendant lamps with or without a horizontal track, floor lamps with arms and table lamps. Each of these pieces is made by experienced glassblowers in Venice using coloured glass pastes. Any colour variations and tiny air bubbles are the result of the artisanal manufacturing process and lend each glass a unique touch.
