Poltrona Frau Mi

The basic structure of the Mi series sideboards consists of a metal frame with a burnished, satin-finished steel surface that also serves as the base. The sides of the furniture are characterised by curved poplar plywood panels, while the bases and backs are made of birch plywood. The doors, for a lighter look, are made of veneered panels. The interior and base of the sideboards are lined with Canaletto walnut veneer panels. The upper frame of the cabinet and doors is made of solid Canaletto walnut. Both variants, the tall Mi sideboard with two doors and the low Mi sideboard with four doors, feature shelves of toughened, bronzed glass inside. The top shelf, also of toughened, bronzed glass, offers a view of the interior, as in a display cabinet. The tall Mi sideboard has two openable doors, while the low Mi sideboard is fitted with a folding system that opens the four doors in pairs. The doors are secured by magnets. The structure stands on adjustable feet. The Mi trolley is fitted with four black plastic and steel castors. The frame ends at the top with a tube of burnished, satin-finished steel that follows the shape of the cabinet and serves as a handle. One side of the handle is covered in Cuoio Saddle Extra leather to match the trolley's upholstery, sewn by hand. The interior of the trolley is fitted with a height-adjustable shelf of toughened glass. The trolley's top extends beyond the wood cladding and can be made of either Calacatta Oro marble or Nero Marquinia marble. Both variants come with a glossy surface, available with transparent polyester lacquer for increased surface resistance or with a semi-gloss surface for a more natural appearance. The outer cladding of the Mi containers is covered in Cuoio Saddle Extra leather printed with a canneté texture. Four colours are available: Charcoal, Cammello, Polvere and Corda.
