Poltrona Frau Get Back

Get Back combines apparent casualness with meticulous attention to detail. The seat and backrest merge into a light element accentuated by delicate piping. The rounded edges lend the surfaces an inviting touch. A leather armrest, adorned with elaborate stitching, embraces the seat at the sides and emphasises the softness of the forms. The cushions of the seat and backrest create a fascinating contrast with the sculptural structures and underline Poltrona Frau's skill in working leather. The backrest structure is made of solid beech, solid poplar, multi-layer birch and chipboard. The frame of the base structure is made of drawn aluminium and solid tulipwood for the covered parts. Elements of moulded polyurethane foam are inserted at the ends of the backrests and in the corners of the frame. The base and backrest are padded with polyurethane foam, while the armrests are padded with polyurethane and polyester wadding. The seat is sprung with elastic woven straps. The seat cushions are padded with down and reinforced with polyurethane foam, while the backrest cushions feature down padding in separate chambers. The feet are made of cast aluminium with a ruthenium finish and black nylon protective caps. Get Back can be covered entirely in Pelle Frau® leather, or in a combination of Pelle Frau® leather for the structure and fabric for the seat and backrest cushions. After designing the Let it Be and Come Together models for Poltrona Frau in 2017 and 2018, Ludovica and Roberto Palomba now present Get Back, a seating system that is a further homage to the Beatles. The name "Get Back" derives from the refrain "Get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged", playfully illustrating the concept of a project aimed at returning to cosiness, to a tailor-made, welcoming space where one can feel truly at home. The Get Back sofa is the result of a thorough exploration of the theme of comfort. It is characterised by generous, wide, open lines, inclined backrests that invite relaxation, two different types of armrests and numerous add-on elements that can be freely combined in a wide variety of configurations. This overall concept conveys a great sense of lightness, as the structure, supported by simple aluminium feet, seems almost to float. On this structure sit soft cushions and peninsula elements of surprising depth – an irresistible reference to "Get back home", inviting you to enjoy relaxation and conviviality in the living area to the full.
