Poltrona Frau Soffi

The Soffi lamps consist of two main elements, both made of blown glass. The outer spherical body has a shaded milky-white or smoky-grey colouring and conveys an almost immaterial appearance. Inside is the light source of matt white, mouth-blown glass with a mother-of-pearl surface, which appears visually more solid. When the lamp is switched on, it produces an even, diffuse light that emphasises the shaded colour of the outer glass and reveals its gradual transparency. This creates a magical, harmonious effect that is impressive in a wide range of lighting situations. Each Soffi lamp is unique, as differences in colour tones and irregularities in shape arise from the blowing-in of coloured glass paste. The band of Cuoio Saddle Extra leather, available in Cammello or Talpa, lends the lamp a refined touch. It features contrasting stitching and a clean, tone-on-tone dyed edge. A leather loop conceals the joint, and the Poltrona Frau logo is embossed into the band. All internal metal parts are made of satin-finished brass, and the ceiling roses are polished stainless steel with transparent cables attached. The Soffi collection comprises three lamp sizes – small, medium and large – which can be combined in various configurations. In addition to single lamps, there are linear arrangements with three spheres and cluster arrangements with three or five spheres. There are also two chandelier configurations: the first consists of two concentric rings of different diameters, covered in Cuoio Saddle Extra leather, holding nine medium-sized lamps. The second chandelier composition consists of three concentric rings of different diameters, likewise covered in leather, providing space for eighteen medium-sized lamps that can be placed at different heights.
