Lapalma Outdoor: a success story since 1980
The history of Lapalma is a story of family, of work and above all of passion. Intuition, determination, know-how and passion are as stainless as the metal the company has been working for over thirty years, combining it with wood, leather, fabrics and other innovative materials to create furnishing elements with clean, timeless lines. It was 1980 when the brothers Dario and Romano Marcato founded their own company in Cadoneghe, near Padua: from the very beginning, the company favoured natural and recyclable materials. Year after year, Lapalma has specialised in the manufacture of furnishings by introducing new materials and investing in state-of-the-art machinery. Collaboration with internationally renowned designers gives rise to products that represent a perfect combination of design and aesthetics. Chairs, tables, armchairs and bar stools – such as the iconic LEM from the year 2000 – have led the company to major international projects, from hotels to shops, museums to airports. The company has received numerous awards to date. In 2010, today's site was inaugurated: 14,500 square metres of continuous, light-filled spaces powered by solar energy. Every product, from 47 product families and 196 elements, is manufactured here and distributed in 81 countries.
Under the direction of Francesco Rota, the brand's art director since 2013, the company looks to the future with undiminished energy: its genuinely Italian manufactory character is consolidated and opens up to colour and a new softness. A more articulated product range explores new design scenarios and targets new markets.
