The new collections from Bivaq - BALM

Bivaq has recently not only undergone a comprehensive rebranding but also launched three impressive new collections: Sal, Nami and Balm. The Balm collection was developed to offer an enveloping, comfortable experience. With a frame of round aluminium tubing and a backrest of woven canvas, it wraps around a soft cushion that invites long, convivial conversations after dinner. The armrests are designed so that their texture, thickness and immaculate finish create a pleasing feel to the touch. Balm is particularly well suited to outdoor use but, thanks to its versatile design, can also be used indoors. The new collections from Bivaq: NAMI & SAL

The Nami collection, Bivaq's first collection of wooden outdoor furniture, takes its inspiration from the Japanese word "nami", meaning "wave". Every element of the collection is designed to capture the emotion and the flow of the sea. The furniture is made from carefully selected iroko slats and a light, lacquered aluminium structure that conveys a sense of lightness and calm. The wood is certified sustainable and locally sourced to minimise the carbon footprint. Designed by Francesc Rifé Studio, the collection comprises sofas for one to three people and tables in two heights, which can be combined in various materials and colours. The cushions, with their relaxed lines, form a contrast to the flat wooden surfaces and strike a balance between simplicity and complexity, with numerous functional details such as armrests, rounded edges and gently inclined backrests. The Sal collection offers a selection of light, modern and above all comfortable chairs and armchairs. The furniture has a steel frame of minimal thickness that conveys a sense of lightness while guaranteeing a long service life. The fabric used, reminiscent of natural fibres such as sisal, lends the collection a natural, warm and artisanal character. The chairs and armchairs combine the robustness and durability required for outdoor use with an inviting aesthetic. They suit modern as well as rustic or coastal settings and stand out for their timeless appeal and exceptional quality. The fabric used is highly resistant to fresh and salt water and particularly practical outdoors, as no additional upholstery is required. The chairs and armchairs are also stackable and can be lacquered in various colours, allowing them to adapt to any setting.
