Tom Dixon Melt collection
The Melt collection by Tom Dixon is a fascinating fusion of art and technology. Inspired by molten glass, glacial formations and the vastness of space, it offers a truly singular lighting experience. The handcrafted pendant lights are produced through an elaborate process of blow moulding and vacuum metallisation, creating molten orbs with a rich luminosity and remarkable reflections. Made in Germany using high-tech manufacturing, they emit an attractive, mildly hallucinogenic light. The Melt collection also includes chandeliers, table, floor and surface lights, all with an LED option. Melt Chrome, a special creation in collaboration with the Swedish design collective FRONT, presents a unique, distorted luminous orb. Tom Dixon, the company behind the collection, was founded in 2002 by Tom Dixon and David Begg.
