The seat of the Jay Lounge armchair is shaped around the body, its geometry organic, elongated and sculptural at once. The seat and backrest are independent of each other. The specially designed base allows 360° rotation with automatic return to the starting position. The seat structure is made of moulded rigid polyurethane with metal inserts. The padding consists of moulded polyurethane foam and polyester wadding. The four-spoke swivel base is made of aluminium and is available in burnished-polished or gloss finishes. The cover is made of Pelle Frau® leather and features elegant tone-on-tone stitching that accentuates the surface. The Jay Lounge is also available as a recliner variant with a hand-operated mechanism for adjusting the tilt of the chair. Enveloping like an embrace, the Jay Lounge armchair creates a special space for personal moments such as meditation, reading and relaxation. It is a contemporary icon of furniture design. Designer Jean-Marie Massaud interprets the classic bergère in a modern way, making the forms lighter and the lines slimmer without losing focus on ergonomics.
