Zanotta April

One of Aurelio Zanotta's outstanding abilities was to surround himself with the most important Italian designers in order to create a catalogue offering that matched his own very personal vision. This took into account a precise idea of intelligent, functional objects and an all-embracing Zanotta philosophy. Numerous designers contributed their sensibility and taste to reimagine particular product categories – an embodiment of Aurelio's strong desire for renewal. An outstanding example of this collaboration is Gae Aulenti's redesign of the timeless 'director's chair', which resulted in the iconic piece named April.
