MOROSO Redondo

With Redondo (design Patricia Urquiola, 2010), Moroso translates the feeling of on-the-road comfort into a piece of furniture with a strong, tactile identity. Its starting point is the look and feel of classic American car interiors: generous upholstery, soft bodywork lines, a relaxed sense of arrival in the seat. Formally, the collection is defined by the interplay of two volumes: an upholstered shell embraces the large seat cushions. The fully rounded contours do without hard edges – emphasised by the soft textiles and the quilted seam, in which the thread traces an elegant, three-dimensional geometry like a pencil line (quilting designed by Urquiola).

Inside lies durable comfort: seat cushions of polyurethane foam with polyester fibre filling, optionally complemented by back cushions filled with goose down. The covers of the Redondo collection are removable (exception: the small armchair, code 061). The construction varies by type – e.g. a wooden structure for sofas/elements and a steel structure for the armchairs; feet in black polypropylene.
