MOROSO Ruff

Ruff, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso, reinterprets the classic form of the armchair – with an elegant interplay of curved and straight lines that conveys both a sense of shelter and architectural structure.

The lounge chair is characterised by its broad, inviting armrests, which wrap harmoniously around the seat and create a feeling of comfort and intimacy. Despite their apparent lightness, these elements rest on a well-thought-out design that works with just one joint between back and seat, producing a unified formal language.

Made with an internal steel structure and elastic straps as well as upholstery of flame-retardant cold-cure polyurethane foam, Ruff offers both tactile comfort and high everyday practicality. Covers in fabric or leather – not removable – underline the modern character of the armchair, which convinces in a wide range of settings: from private living landscapes to lounge and hospitality areas.
