MOROSO Mathilda

Mathilda was designed in 2013 by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso and stands for a successful balance between architectural clarity and inviting material warmth. The collection begins with a chair whose design builds on the proportional relationship between the whole and its details: two solid wooden trestles carry the seat and backrest, creating a light yet stable structure that is also stackable.

The Mathilda chair captivates with its frame in ash or oak, available in various wood finishes, and an upholstered seat and backrest that can be covered in fabric or leather. The armrests are partly wrapped in fine leather or fabric strips, lending the seat an organic, handcrafted touch.

With its modern yet familiar form and high-quality materiality, Mathilda blends harmoniously into contemporary residential and contract settings – at the dining table, in the lounge area or as a versatile accent in the living space.
