Paulin shaped the chair in line with the changing design style of his time, replacing the severity of post-war design with a new, energetic approach. Paulin succeeded in giving the rounded forms of the Pacha Lounge Chair genuine elegance by finding the perfect proportions, raising it slightly on its base and working seams into the foam and the cover that are angled inwards.
With pieces such as the Pacha Lounge Chair, Pierre Paulin paved the way for low-level living, a modern way of living and sitting on the floor by dispensing with chair legs.
