GamFratesi’s Epic Table for GUBI, named after the epic poems of antiquity, is a sculptural piece of furniture inspired by Greek columns and Roman architecture. Originally made in Italy from travertine, this new version marks the first time that GamFratesi has worked with steel plates. These plates undergo finishing processes such as galvanising, lacquering and elaborate hand-finishing in order to give each table top a unique surface texture.
While the monolithic form of the table is retained, it now radiates an industrial character and reveals new details with every use. This collection lends personality to private spaces and brings a fascinating sense of weight and tactility to public and hospitality environments, where robust surfaces offer exceptional durability.
The Epic Table Collection offers various heights and diameters, so that a single monochrome table can stand on its own or be combined harmoniously in dynamic groups of different materials, heights and colours.
