GUBI - MULTI-LITE table lamp
Louis Weisdorf's contemporary and classic design philosophy is impressively reflected in the innovative Multi-Lite table lamp. With its timeless elegance, its unmistakable style and its unparalleled versatility, the Multi-Lite table lamp brings life and character to any interior.
Designed by the Danish architect Louis Weisdorf in 1972, the Multi-Lite lamp was developed to reflect his appreciation of diversity in design. Its outstanding feature is that the two opposing outer shades can be rotated individually and configured in a variety of combinations, encouraging the creation of personal installations and forms of expression at will. In keeping with Weisdorf's design ethos, the light can always be directed upwards or downwards, or illuminate an asymmetrical work of art, without revealing the light source.
The basis of the lamp is formed by two cylindrical shapes surrounded by a metal ring that secures the two quarter-spherical shades. The result is an iconic design with many possible uses. This decorative Multi-Lite table lamp represents a further development of the pendant lamp design and is ideally suited to creating festive ambient lighting in domestic living rooms.
