Louis Weisdorf’s contemporary and timeless design philosophy finds its expression in the Multi-Lite floor lamp. With its timeless elegance, its unmistakable style and its unique versatility, the Multi-Lite floor lamp brings life and character into any interior.
The Multi-Lite lamp collection was designed in 1972 by the Danish architect Louis Weisdorf to reflect his deep appreciation of design diversity. Its characteristic feature lies in the ability of the two opposing outer shades to be rotated individually, which allows a multitude of configurations and inspires the creation of personal installations and forms of expression whenever desired. In keeping with Weisdorf’s design ethos, the light can always be directed upwards or downwards, or illuminated as asymmetrical art, without revealing the light source.
At its core the lamp is carried by two cylindrical forms surrounded by a metal ring that secures the two quarter-spherical shades. This results in an iconic design with versatile use. The decorative Multi-Lite floor lamp represents a further development of the pendant lamp design and is ideally suited to creating inviting ambient lighting in the living room at home.
