More Yan
YAN means "side" in Turkish, and it's precisely from the side that the chair reveals what it's about: two sturdy solid wood struts cross beneath the seat to form an X, and one of them continues upward to support the Armrest. What appears symmetrical from the front is deliberately thrown off balance in profile. Designed by Çağdaş Sarıkaya as a companion to the AVAR table, it also stands on its own, whether at the dining table, at a desk, or as an armchair in a room. The near-black "Lava" ash and the softly upholstered shell give it character.
