B&B Italia Pushpam

A collection of small dining tables and side tables characterised by a perfect formal balance and the sculptural effect of the cement finish, available in the colour variants greige and white. 'Many years ago I named my armchairs Papilio because their silhouette recalled butterflies. I have given this new table the name Pushpam (Indonesian for flower), because the Papilio Shell chairs gather around it like butterflies around a flower. I find that the combination of Pushpam with the Papilio chairs forms a marvellous outdoor ensemble, ideal for a coffee or a quick meal. The design was made possible by the use of a cement moulding process. This also allowed us to add colour pigments matching the backrest shells of Papilio Shell.' Naoto Fukasawa
