A premium visitor and conference chair with a distinctive aesthetic. Its special feature is the accentuated separation of shell and frame. In the seat shell, made from moulded wood, the cut of the surfaces has formal analogies to automotive design, transferred at Thonet to the material wood. The ergonomic shape offers high seating comfort in two upholstery variants: a straight-lined, taut version and a relaxed, softer upholstery. Through the use of different veneers and stain tones, as well as different upholstery covers in leather or fabric, the character of the chair can be changed and adapted to any interior. Different back heights and base frames are also available to choose from.
The THONET S 845 DRW swivel chair stands on a five-star swivel base in polished aluminium with castors and a tilt mechanism, and is infinitely height-adjustable. The seat shell, made from moulded plywood, comes in oak, with walnut available at extra cost. Two upholstery variants are available: the straight-lined, taut comfort upholstery and the relaxed comfort upholstery with deliberate rippling. Available at extra cost: the swivel base in chrome-plated aluminium and chrome-plated castors. With a high back, the model is called S 845 DRWE.

Comfort upholstery: The comfort upholstery is a particularly elaborate upholstery construction: depending on the model, a fine non-woven layer is additionally sewn in. This makes the upholstery feel softer to sit on and, at the same time, more durable, as the cover is loaded more evenly.
Relaxed comfort upholstery: The relaxed comfort upholstery is the softer, more casual variant of the comfort upholstery. Its cover is deliberately not taut but falls into gentle ripples – this is intentional and part of the character of this upholstery, as are seat impressions that remain visible after standing up. Those who prefer a smooth, taut look should choose the standard comfort upholstery.
