THONET conference table • Programme A 1760
Office and conference rooms are increasingly used in flexible ways today. This calls for table systems that can be adapted easily to changing usage scenarios while combining aesthetics with functionality. With the A 1750 conference table system, Thonet delivers a high-quality product that offers a coherent solution for a range of requirements. For the A 1750 system, German designer Uwe Sommerlade developed table legs with an elegant, considered geometry that support the table tops. The legs are connected in pairs in an A-shaped frame that can be configured proportionally to match the depth of the table top. Two different leg pairs are available for the ends: 0° orientation (parallel to the table edge) or 45° orientation. This ensures sufficient space for everyone seated, no matter where they sit at the table. Thanks to Thonet's proven connection system, large conference table arrangements can be created in no time and without tools, and then divided back into individual tables or smaller table groups. The rectangular table tops of the A 1750 system are available in four depths and three lengths. A boat-shaped top rounds off the programme. All table tops are available in the standard surfaces of the Thonet portfolio and can be configured using the pCon planning tool.
The A 1760 single table is the fully configured table of the A 1750 system: a 30 mm particleboard top on two A-shaped frame elements. It is available in four table top depths from 80 to 125 cm and three lengths from 180 to 220 cm, with a table height of 74 cm. The frame is powder-coated as standard and available either in polished aluminium or in oak, clear-lacquered or black-stained. The aluminium legs contain a recycled content of over 95 per cent and can be fitted with a magnetic, cable-collecting inlay that allows concealed cable routing inside the frame element; the oak legs are available without cable routing. Adjustable glides on the leg pairs allow the table height to be adjusted without having to lift the table. The table top is available in all standard surfaces of the Thonet portfolio, from beech and ash to oak and walnut, as well as the laminates Resopal and Fenix.
