CUT takes the weight out of the solid wood top without taking away its material. The top is glued from solid boards and runs without a joint; at 2.8 cm thick, it stands firm in the room. On the long sides, the edge tapers back to 0.8 cm — seen from the side, the table looks like a ground-down leaf, while from above it keeps its full surface.
The base frame, made of solid wood, follows the length of the top: the longer the table, the further inward the legs move. The grain runs lengthwise. The surfaces come oiled and waxed or matt lacquered, in 21 wood tones ranging from natural oak through special tones to American walnut.
