The small CUT is the large one at the scale of a side table: a round top on three slender legs, 2 cm thick instead of 2.8. It stands next to the armchair, at the end of the sofa, or in pairs in front of the couch.
The base frame determines the character. In solid wood, the top is edge-glued and continuous, available in all 21 wood tones — oiled and waxed or matt lacquered. In marble, the top and base frame are made of green Verde Guatemala with its dark base colour and light veining; there, the top's edges taper to 0.8 cm, and each piece turns out differently — no two are alike.
In solid wood, two formats are available, and they cost the same: the taller one with a Ø of 45 cm at 50 cm height, the lower one with a Ø of 40 cm at 45 cm. Marble is available in Ø 40 cm.
CUT was designed by Hamburg-based designer Peter Fehrentz (2021). The legs are reminiscent of a sailing yacht's rudder blade — in the small format, this underlying principle stands out especially clearly.
