more HARRI extending table | rectangular
The HARRI table by Peter Fehrentz appears understated at first glance. Only the details reveal the effort involved: an optional brass end cap on the table legs and a wood inlay in the frame that picks up the tone of the table top.
The drawer system distinguishes this table from the fixed HARRI: beneath the table top, at one or both ends of the table, sits a drawer holding the foldable extension leaf. When extending the table, the frame stays in place – the table does not move across the room. Each extension leaf adds 60 cm; with two leaves, the table grows by 120 cm.
Here, the top is 2.8 cm thick, with the grain running lengthwise but not continuously. The drawer is made of dark bronze anodised aluminium with a front panel of black powder-coated steel. The extension leaf follows the shape of the table top.
- Table top: glued solid wood panel, grain running lengthwise, not continuous
