GUBI Gascoin

The garden receives an upgrade through the understated functionality of two of the most enduring and iconic designs by the French architect and designer Marcel Gascoin. GUBI's new outdoor collection, now crafted in teak, represents a significant innovation for Gascoin's iconic design, adapting the C-Chair for outdoor dining and adding a new lounge typology to the GUBI collection. A new outdoor version of the beloved C-Chair – a dining chair originally designed in 1947 for post-war housing in France – is joined outdoors by a lesser-known gem by Gascoin, the F-Chair. This rarely seen design made its debut in 1949 at the travelling exhibition "Maison Rurale", which was intended to present furniture meeting the particular needs of rural life. It was, however, never produced in large numbers, and original examples are rarities today.
