THONET bar stool • S 160 H programme
Elegant, comfortable and available in a wide range of versions: the S 160 programme was developed for furnishing event spaces, canteens and residential-style contract areas. The chairs can be stacked closely (up to 17 units) and feature a connecting mechanism that links them together easily, securely, space-savingly and without tools (Thonet patent). With a low or high back and various upholstery options, the S 160 offers a broad range of applications. A variant with wooden legs (160) turns the popular multi-purpose chair into a residential-style chair for contract use, for example in cosily furnished cafés. There is also a slender and particularly comfortable bar stool (S 160 H) for the hospitality sector and for working at high tables.
The THONET S 160 H bar stool stands on a chrome-plated four-legged frame made of tubular steel and carries a polypropylene shell. It is available unupholstered and with mirror-upholstered seat. The seat height is 75 cm unupholstered and 76 cm in the upholstered versions. The unupholstered version is stackable; for the upholstered versions, the manufacturer states stackability as available on request. Plastic glides are included as standard, felt glides are available for an additional charge.

Row connection: Chairs that can be linked can be joined side by side into fixed rows without tools. This is required wherever many people sit together: in halls, churches, canteens or conference rooms. The Thonet connection is patented and meets the DIN EN 14703 standard for row seating including panic release – in an emergency, the row can be cleared quickly and safely.
