VIME lounge chair - Morpho by Tomorrowland
Like the sweep of a bending twig, the Vime lounge chair combines organic lines with generous seating comfort. The name comes from the Portuguese word for willow — the material whose flexibility underlies the design.
The sculptural frame carries a leather back panel that gives slightly when you sit down. Above it lies a generous cushion set that turns the open frame into an enclosed, inviting seat.
Vime belongs to the Morpho by Tomorrowland collection, designed by the Tomorrowland Design Studio in collaboration with the architect Dieter Vander Velpen. The collection combines contemporary design with the organic spirit of Art nouveau — from the fine structure of a dragonfly's wing to the curves of roots and branches.
Frame and cushion set can be ordered individually or together — in the shop you choose the frame as a variant and the cushion set as a version.
Material
The frame is made from lacquered dark brown teak or from lacquered oak, each with a back panel in aniline leather. Aniline leather is a natural material and keeps its own texture — colour variations and markings are part of it. The solid wood is lacquered and brushed. The cushions are covered in chenille, velvet, bouclé or leather.
