Ethnicraft TABWA sideboard | various sizes
Ethnicraft Tabwa sideboard | various sizes
The Tabwa sideboard by Ethnicraft combines generous storage space with an exceptional, craft-led design language. Its clear and minimalist silhouette is complemented by elaborately worked fronts and gives the piece a distinctive and particularly characterful expression.
The Tabwa collection is named after the Tabwa culture of Central Africa. Its design is inspired by that culture's preference for linear and geometric motifs. Every pattern on the fronts is carefully carved by hand, turning a functional sideboard into an individual piece with an almost artistic character.
The dark finish underlines the graphic effect of the hand-carved patterns and gives the sideboard an elegant, architectural presence. The black metal legs provide a light contrast to the solid wood look and let the carcass appear to float slightly above the floor.
Material
The fronts of the Tabwa sideboard are made from solid teak and given a protective lacquer finish. The carcass is in oak veneer, while black metal legs provide stability and a modern contrast. The hand-carved teak fronts make every piece a one-of-a-kind piece through slight differences in the craftsmanship.
