The Tabwa coffee table by Ethnicraft combines a minimalist silhouette with an exceptionally detailed surface design. Clear proportions meet artfully carved geometric patterns and give the table an expressive yet timeless appearance.
The Tabwa collection is named after the Tabwa culture of Central Africa. Its traditional linear and geometric motifs are the design inspiration for the characteristic table surface. Every single pattern is carefully carved into the wood by hand, giving the coffee table the character of an individual art object.
With its generous table surface of 170 x 120 cm, the Tabwa coffee table offers plenty of room for books, magazines, drinks and decorative accessories. The low height of 36 cm makes for balanced proportions and turns it into a striking centrepiece of generous seating arrangements.
The black colour emphasises the carved patterns and creates an intriguing play of light, shadow and texture. The surface therefore looks different from every angle and gives the table a particular spatial depth.
Material
The table top is made of plywood with a high-quality teak veneer and a black lacquer finish. The geometric patterns are carved into the surface by hand. The sturdy central base is made of oak and ensures a secure stand. Due to the craftsmanship, slight differences in texture and pattern can occur, which makes every piece unique.
