Ethnicraft TABWA cabinet
Ethnicraft Tabwa cabinet
The Tabwa cabinet by Ethnicraft combines generous storage space with an exceptional, craft-led design language. Its clear, minimalist silhouette forms an exciting contrast to the elaborately hand-carved geometric patterns on the fronts and makes the cabinet an expressive focal point in the room.
The Tabwa collection is named after the Tabwa culture of Central Africa. The design was inspired by its preference for linear and geometric motifs. Every single pattern is carefully carved into the teak fronts by hand, turning a functional storage piece into an individual, almost artistic one-of-a-kind piece.
Behind its two doors, the Tabwa cabinet offers generous storage space for tableware, books, textiles or other home accessories. Two additional interior drawers allow smaller items to be kept in order. The handleless fronts underline the calm, closed silhouette of the piece.
The deep Off Black colouring reinforces the graphic effect of the hand-carved patterns and gives the cabinet an elegant presence full of character. With its combination of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, the Tabwa cabinet is particularly well suited to living, dining or bedroom areas, where it offers both functional storage space and a striking design accent.
Material
The doors of the Tabwa cabinet are made from solid teak and given a protective lacquer finish. The characteristic geometric patterns are carved into the wood surface by hand. The carcass is in oak veneer, while a black metal frame gives the tall piece stability and a light, contemporary base.
