The ND54 high chair was designed in 1955 by master architect Nanna Ditzel together with Jørgen Ditzel. Carl Hansen & Søn has updated it to meet modern safety standards. This high chair is a perfect example of the timeless beauty of functional, durable design. It is made from FSC®-certified beech and carefully finished with a non-toxic matt lacquer for a flawless, easy-to-clean surface. The ND54 high chair is not only attractive to look at, it is also a practical piece of furniture that grows with the child. The leather safety strap and the optional Backrest allow it to adapt as the baby grows. The three included stainless steel nameplates can be engraved with the names of the children who have used the chair, turning it into a personal piece of furniture that can be passed down to future generations. The ND54 high chair with the baby Backrest fitted meets the requirements of EN 14988:2017+A1:2020 (issue 2020-03). The product is suitable for children who can sit upright unaided, up to the age of 3 and a maximum weight of 15 kg.
The ND54 is made from solid beech and clear-lacquered; no other wood or surface option is available. The straps are made from cognac-coloured saddle leather and are not available in any other leather type or colour. Three stainless steel nameplates for engraving are included with the chair; they are fitted underneath the high chair, with the drill holes already provided. The ND54S baby insert is available at an additional cost.
