Elegant and relaxed upholstery underscores the clean-lined expression of Hans J. Wegner's CH292 sofa. Designed in 1962 as part of the larger CH290 series, the CH292 sofa displays an unmistakable Wegner identity, combining strict and precise joinery details with soft, casual upholstery. The two-seater sofa features two carefully upholstered seat and back cushions, carried by an elegant, handcrafted frame in FSC™-certified solid oak. Wegner deliberately chose not to conceal the essential details of the frame, which are emphasised by the relaxed upholstery. A visible slatted backrest, dynamically angled rear legs and wide armrests are typical Wegner hallmarks, while carefully upholstered cushions in removable fabric lend this mid-century modern design effortless versatility.
The CH292 is made exclusively in oak and is available in five finishes: soaped, lacquered, oiled, white oiled or black lacquered. The cushion set is included in the price and can be ordered in eight fabric groups as well as three leather groups. Seat and back cushions are available with a down cushion pad at extra cost; an additional cushion set can also be ordered at extra cost. The CH290F stool is a matching piece for this sofa.
