Carl Hansen CH290 Lounge Chair
Designed in 1962 as part of the larger CH290 series, the CH290 Lounge Chair displays classic Hans J. Wegner characteristics with relaxed, removable cushions. The CH290 series is a versatile collection for modern living spaces, striking a balance between function and form. It is characterised by plain oak frames in which no details are hidden, softened by carefully upholstered cushions. The CH290 Lounge Chair impresses with precise, visible joinery details in the dynamic, angled legs and wide armrests. A backrest with slats, unique to the CH290 series, supports an elegant fabric-covered seat and back cushion. The lounge chair is beautiful from every angle and complements other Hans J. Wegner designs as part of the wider Carl Hansen & Søn collection.
The CH290 has a frame in solid oak with angled legs, wide armrests and a backrest of visible slats. It is available in five finishes: soaped oak, lacquered, oiled, white-oiled or black-lacquered. The seat and back cushions are included and can be upholstered in eight fabric groups and three leather groups. Cushions with a down topper and an additional cushion set are available at extra cost. The CH290F footstool is a matching companion to the CH290.
