The LAX extendable table continues the line of the fixed LAX table: the same glued solid wood table top, the same characteristic crossed steel legs, the same edge that tapers towards the corners on both the short and long sides. Only this table grows when guests arrive.
It works with the Synchro System: to extend it, the table top is shifted in opposite directions, revealing the folding extension leaf underneath. The frame stays centred beneath the table top — the leg position does not change, even when extended.
The top is 2.8 cm thick, tapering to 0.8 cm towards the corners. The grain runs lengthwise; on the extension leaf it runs in the same direction but is not continuous. The extension system is made of dark bronze anodised aluminium with a fascia of black powder-coated steel.
