DEDON CALADIO: the new icon of outdoor dining. “Our goal was to design a chair with a unique appearance that also offers maximum seating comfort and challenges DEDON’s extraordinary weaving artistry.” – Hoffmann Kahleyss Design. The story: inspired by the flora of Indonesia. The name CALADIO derives from the caladium – an exotic Indonesian plant admired for its sculptural, heart-shaped leaves (elephant ear). This botanical grace is reflected in the flowing silhouette of the armchair. With CALADIO we present our “new classic”: arguably the best and most comfortable chair DEDON has ever created. Craft mastery: 54 hours of perfection. CALADIO is a testament to what is possible when high-end weaving meets state-of-the-art CNC production. While a conventional armchair such as the MBRACE takes around 13 hours of weaving, the intricately detailed shell of a single CALADIO chair absorbs an impressive 54 hours of pure handwork.

• Complex weave pattern: three different fibres are combined in one of the world’s most demanding weaving patterns to achieve a seamless look across seat, armrests and backrest.

• Precision in teak: the base of solid, certified teak is produced using state-of-the-art CNC technology. A distinctive design feature is the striking, slender gap between seat and backrest that gives the chair its lightness. Sustainability: DEDON EcoCycle Fiber. With CALADIO, luxury and ecological responsibility go hand in hand. The EcoCycle Fiber used is a bio-based fibre obtained 90% from renewable plant resources (sugar cane ethanol). It offers the familiar DEDON durability and feel while actively reducing the carbon footprint – for exquisite wellbeing with a clear conscience.
