101 Copenhagen AD

The AD Floor Lamp by 101 Copenhagen (design: Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl) brings the austere beauty of Brutalism into a calm, round silhouette: geometric, sculptural and atmospheric at once. The oxidised surface is deliberately textured – almost like concrete – referencing its architectural inspiration. Inside, thin aluminium plates form the characteristic disc geometry to diffuse the light softly: pleasant in ambience, yet clearly functional in everyday use.
