Molamisa is being extended with new elements: chaise longue, corner elements, new end elements and upholstered seats in different shapes open up even more possibilities for comfort and individual sofa configurations.

"Precision, but soft as a cushion." The approach of designers EOOS is reflected in Molamisa's deliberately relaxed Shape. Relaxed and playful, yet never formless. Playfulness meets clear lines, softness meets precision. The result is a balanced mix of nonchalance and order – composed in character, clear in effect. Molamisa is more than a sofa – it shapes the space. Its adaptable architecture allows ever new forms of expression to emerge.

Like a landscape of movable islands, it transforms the surrounding space, forming different heights and depths and creating ever new compositions. Formal and linear with evenly arranged backrests, or relaxed and casual with variably positioned backrests: Molamisa adapts to different situations. This creates either a sheltered retreat for private moments or an open stage for sociable gatherings. Molamisa can be adjusted intuitively.

With gentle pressure or a light pull, the backrests can be effortlessly moved into the desired position. The refined mechanism allows each personal seating position to be chosen individually, without affecting the position of others. Upright for lively conversation, reclined for relaxed moments – Molamisa creates space for different needs and forms of togetherness. The backrests are identical in size and serve equally as armrests and backrests.

EOOS dissolves the classic linear sofa Shape. Angled surfaces create new geometric modules that can be arranged into a variety of compositions. The generous seat surfaces combine into expansive lounging areas – ideal for relaxed lounging, shared downtime or sociable gatherings. The angled arrangement means those seated face one another, creating an open and inviting atmosphere that fosters closeness and puts togetherness at the centre.

Cold foam: Cold foam is a high-quality, dimensionally stable upholstery foam characterised by its particular elasticity and resilience. It conforms comfortably to the Body without losing its Shape. In high-quality upholstered furniture, cold foam ensures precise, comfortable and durably shape-retaining seating. After being compressed, the material quickly returns to its original Shape – resulting in fewer lasting seat impressions, so the cushion keeps its characteristic Shape.

Please note: leather hides are selected by specialists according to strict criteria and high quality standards. Leather naturally has both soft and firm sections of hide, which may be processed side by side. It stretches through body heat and moisture during use, which to a certain extent produces waves and creases (so-called seat impressions). Favourite seats show this particularly clearly. This adjustment process is largely complete after a few weeks; further stretching is minimal and barely noticeable. Depending on the tanning method, dyeing and surface treatment, leather initially has a characteristic smell typical of the material, which noticeably fades over a few weeks; airing the room can speed this up. For one upholstered suite, Walter Knoll processes several leather hides (between five and seven). No hide is identical to another. Insect bites, small injuries from fences or marks from fighting leave small scars on the cattle hide, which can be rediscovered in the leather. Growth folds are a sign of the animal's health and good nutrition. These material-typical characteristics do not affect the quality of the leather furniture. Differences in sheen, colour and texture within a single hide and between the cut pieces of a cover are likewise characteristic and typical of leather furniture.
