The classic 375 Armchair embodies the spirit of the 1950s. An elegant, light yet comfortable chair that invites you to withdraw and linger. When the Walter Knoll team designed this small armchair in 1957, they were most likely picturing convivial aperitifs and animated conversations in the salon. The 1950s in Germany were shaped by new beginnings, joie de vivre and economic growth. Growing prosperity and a modern, progressive way of life defined the spirit of the era. With its timeless shape, the 375 Armchair preserves the charm of this period while fitting naturally into modern residential and hospitality settings.

Cold foam: Cold foam is a high-quality, shape-retaining upholstery foam distinguished by its exceptional elasticity and resilience. It conforms comfortably to the body without losing its shape. In high-quality upholstered furniture, cold foam provides precise, comfortable seating that retains its shape over the long term. After being compressed, the material quickly returns to its original shape, resulting in fewer permanent seat impressions, so the cushion keeps its characteristic shape.
Note: Leather hides are selected by specialists according to strict criteria and high quality standards. Leather naturally contains both soft and firm areas of skin, which may be processed side by side. It stretches through body heat and moisture during use, which can lead to a certain amount of undulation and creasing (so-called seat impressions). Favourite seating spots show this particularly clearly. This settling process is largely complete after a few weeks; further stretching is minimal and barely noticeable. Depending on the tanning method, dyeing and surface treatment, leather has a characteristic smell at first, which fades noticeably over a few weeks and can be reduced faster through airing. For one upholstered seating group, Walter Knoll processes several hides (between five and seven). No hide is like another. Insect bites, small injuries from fences or signs of tussling leave small scars in the cowhide that you may rediscover in the leather. Growth folds are a sign of the animal's health and good nutrition. These material-typical characteristics do not affect the quality of the leather furniture. Variations in sheen, colour and texture within a single hide, and between the cut pieces of a cover, are likewise characteristic and typical of leather furniture.
