The comfortable relaxchair complements the light-footed mid-century armchair as a versatile counterpart. It is equally suited to private retreats such as living rooms and libraries, as well as representative areas in lobbies or reception spaces.

With its elegant, enveloping shape, the relaxchair creates a comfortable retreat for relaxing, reading, chatting and lingering. The convex curve at the headrest forms a pleasant counter-movement to the curved armrest. Continuous piping emphasises the chair's distinctive contour.

The ergonomically tuned upholstery provides a distinctive seating feel that combines comfort and relaxation. Thanks to its generous shape, the seating position can be adjusted flexibly. The recess in the backrest supports a relaxed posture of the head and shoulders.

The relaxchair extends the classic 375 series with an expressive character piece. The Walter Knoll design team based its creation on the design philosophy of the 375 family: timeless, slender and appealing, defined by fine lines and balanced proportions.

Cold foam: Cold foam is a high-quality, shape-retaining upholstery foam characterised by its particular elasticity and resilience. It adapts comfortably to the body without losing its shape. In high-quality upholstered furniture, cold foam ensures precise, comfortable and permanently shape-retaining seating. After being under load, the material quickly returns to its original shape - this results in fewer permanent seating impressions, and the cushion retains its characteristic shape.

Note: leather hides are selected by specialists according to strict criteria and high quality standards. Due to its natural origin, leather has soft and firm sections of hide, which may also be processed side by side. It expands through body heat and moisture during use. This results, to a certain extent, in waves and creases (so-called seating impressions). Favourite seating spots document this particularly clearly. This adjustment process is largely complete after a few weeks. Further stretching is minimal and unobtrusive. Depending on the tanning method, colouring and surface treatment, leather initially has a typical odour. This noticeably diminishes over the course of a few weeks. Airing can accelerate this process. For one upholstery group, Walter Knoll processes several leather hides (between five and seven). No hide is like another. Insect bites, small injuries from fences, or marks from fighting leave small scars on the cattle hide that you may rediscover in the leather. Feeding folds are a sign of the animal's health and good nutrition. These material-typical characteristics do not affect the quality of the leather furniture. Variations in gloss, colour and texture within a single hide and between the cut pieces of a cover are also characteristic and typical of leather furniture.
