Finnish designer Harri Koskinen conceived the S 12 wall hook for Thonet as an object that is as artistic as it is functional, distilling the essence and beauty of tubular steel into a small format. Drawing on iconic pieces from the Thonet portfolio, such as the S 32 cantilever chair by Marcel Breuer (artistic copyright Mart Stam), Harri Koskinen also used tubular steel with a diameter of 25 mm for the S 12 wardrobe hook. The S 12 works singly or in a row and serves in a wide range of spaces (hotel, bar, restaurant and private homes) as a practical hook for hats, caps, coats, jackets, umbrellas, bags and more. Even when not in use, the modern hook holds its own on the wall, appearing like a small sculpture on the surface without dominating it. The S 12 is available in a chrome-plated version, as well as powder-coated in black or tomato red. Installation is as considered as it is simple: a C-shaped flat steel bracket is fixed to the wall with two small screws, onto which the 11 x 20 x 2.5 cm wall hook, with its milled-out back, is then attached and secured with an Allen screw.
The S 12 wall hook is made of tubular steel with a diameter of 25 mm and measures 2.5 x 11 x 20 cm. As standard, it is powder-coated in deep black RAL 9005 or tomato red RAL 3013, with chrome plating available for an additional cost. A C-shaped flat steel bracket is fixed to the wall with two small screws, onto which the hook, with its milled-out back, is then attached and secured with an Allen screw. Fixings are included. The hook works singly or in a row.
