THONET swivel armchair with four-star swivel base • Programme 521 PFDW
With its different variants, the 520 by Marco Dessí is the perfect chair, not only for the dining table: high seating comfort combines with a visual and physical lightness, and it impresses with a confident elegance that carries the culture and history of the classic Thonet bentwood chair. In his design, Dessí replaced the open areas between the bentwood elements with comfortable upholstery. The simple, intelligent construction allows for various variants, with and without armrests. Combined with a wide selection of different cover materials, the seating programme opens up a broad range of applications, from sophisticated dining to executive meetings. The programme is extended by the 521 swivel chair variants.
The THONET 521 PFDW stands on a four-star swivel base without castors, with glides and a tilt mechanism. The shell has an automatic return function. The swivel base is powder-coated aluminium in RAL 9005 deep black, with polished aluminium available at extra cost. The seat and back are upholstered, and the armchair has armrests. The wooden parts are stained beech, with oak available at extra cost.
