THONET swivel armchair with five-star swivel base • Programme 521 PFDRW
With its various variants, the 520 by Marco Dessí is the perfect chair, not only for the dining table: high seating comfort combines with a visual and physical lightness, while also impressing with an assured elegance that carries the culture and history of the classic Thonet bentwood chair. In his design, Dessí replaced the open areas between the bentwood elements with comfortable upholstery. The simple, intelligent construction allows for different variants, with and without armrests. Combined with a wide selection of different cover materials, the seating programme opens up a broad range of applications, from sophisticated dining to executive meetings. The programme is extended by the 521 swivel chair variants.
The THONET 521 PFDRW is the swivel armchair of the programme on a five-star swivel base with castors and a tilt mechanism. The swivel base is aluminium, powder-coated RAL 9005 deep black, with polished aluminium available at extra cost; chrome-plated castors are also available at extra cost. The armchair is infinitely height-adjustable and has armrests. The seat and back are upholstered, and the wood parts are stained beech, with oak available at extra cost.
