Garden chairs whose construction and design correspond to the S 43 classic by Mart Stam: clear and restrained in shape, with optimal seating comfort and high quality in terms of material and workmanship. Under the model designation B 33 g (g = garden), these chairs first appeared in the Thonet catalogue of 1935. Today, the wooden slats are made of solid Iroko, an African wood with high density and weather resistance. In appearance it is similar to teak and has a smooth, even surface. To protect it, we oil all wooden parts. The S 1040 table matches this chair.
The THONET S 40 F cantilever chair is the version with armrests, suitable for outdoor use. The seat and back, made of solid wood slats, sit on a frame of round stainless steel tubing, complemented by armrests in Iroko. The wood is oiled. POM plastic glides are included. The chair is 85 cm high, has a seat height of 45 cm, the armrests are at 68 cm, and the weight is 10 kg. The S 40 PA cushion pad matches this chair.
