Garden chairs whose construction and design correspond to the classic S 43 by Mart Stam: clear and understated in shape, with optimal seating comfort and high quality in terms of material and workmanship. Under the model designation B 33 g (g = garden), these chairs first appeared in the Thonet catalogue of 1935. Today the wooden slats are made of solid Iroko, an African wood with high density and weather resistance. In appearance it is similar to teak and has a smooth, even surface. We oil all wooden parts for protection. The S 1040 table matches this chair.
The THONET S 40 cantilever chair is suitable for outdoor use. Its frame is made of round stainless steel tubing, with the seat and back made of solid wood slats. The wood is Iroko, which is oiled for protection. POM plastic glides are included. The chair is 85 cm high, has a seat height of 45 cm and weighs 7 kg. With armrests, the model is called S 40 F; the S 40 PA cushion pad matches this version.
