Glare-free, diffused light from three-layered opal glass. The shade can be tilted 90° to the right or left.
Design: Vilhelm Lauritzen
About the designer: Vilhelm Lauritzen (1894–1984) is regarded as a pioneer of functionalism in Denmark. His best-known buildings include the Radiohuset (1936–41), for which he also designed the lamps, and the first terminal at Copenhagen Airport Kastrup (1937–39). His lamps combine direct light with soft, diffused light; they have been part of the Louis Poulsen collection since the mid-1940s.
Material and finish: mouth-blown, three-layered, glossy glass; housing of deep-drawn aluminium (wet-painted matt black) or brass with a fine line texture, untreated (develops a patina).
Installation and operation: with cable and plug (2.5 m) and on/off switch on the cable, or for hardwiring with on/off via the main switch. The black version comes with a black cable, the brass version with a white cable. G9 socket, 30 W.
Protection rating: IP20.
