The PH 5 ceiling lamp by Louis Poulsen was designed in 1958 by Poul Henningsen as a response to the constantly changing shapes and sizes of light bulbs. The aim was to create a luminaire that harmonised with any light source. The distinctive design of the PH 5 is based on the proven principles of Henningsen's system of three reflecting shades. These provide a soft, pleasant and glare-free light and make it the ideal choice for the dining room. The PH 5 is available in various colour versions and enjoys great popularity worldwide as a well-known pendant lamp found in many homes.

Lighting concept
