Louis Poulsen PH 3/2 • pendant light
The PH 3/2 pendant light by Louis Poulsen is a timeless design by Poul Henningsen from 1925/26. The collaboration with Louis Poulsen lasted until P. Henningsen's death in 1967. The luminaire provides glare-free light and soft shadows, with the model number indicating the size of the shades. Originally made of metal, glass shades were used later so that the light was also distributed into the room. Poul Henningsen applied scientific principles to achieve an even distribution of light. The PH 3/2 pendant light has an upper segment of 30 cm in diameter and two smaller segments beneath it, allowing it to hang lower.

Lighting concept
The luminaire is based on a reflecting three-shade system that directs most of the light downwards. The shades are made of mouth-blown, opalised, three-layer glass, glossy on the outside and matt sandblasted on the inside. This results in a soft and diffuse distribution of light.
