Carl Hansen & Søn is expanding its collection of Børge Mogensen furniture with a flexible storage system that has never been produced before. In collaboration with Børge Mogensen's family, Carl Hansen & Søn has brought several of the designer's forgotten design drawings to life. The result is an expandable shelving system that can be built up, reconfigured and extended to meet individual storage needs. The system adapts to different room sizes. The flexible, multifunctional shelving system is an expression of simplicity. It consists of veneered wood shelf elements in various sizes and a solid wood cabinet module. The elements are mounted on a frame of cylindrical metal struts of varying lengths. Shelf and cabinet modules can be combined as needed – the mix of open and closed modules in particular creates a rhythmic, transparent look.
The BM0253 has a powder-coated steel Frame; the shelves and cabinet are veneered. Struts, Legs and the connector set are available exclusively in black (RAL 9005) or GRAU (NCS S4005-G50Y). The wood parts are available in oiled oak, white-oiled oak or oiled walnut. Villa Schmidt offers the system in five configurations put together by Carl Hansen & Søn; in configurations 1 and 5, both doors are veneered. The 45 × 150 cm cabinet comes as standard with a 45 cm strut set (6 pcs), two shelves and pre-drilled mounting holes for the brackets. The wall-mounting fittings supplied are only suitable for brick and concrete walls; freestanding, i.e. without wall mounting, a maximum height of 1 metre is possible.

Configuration 3 · 6 shelves: 1 × Legs 20 cm (4 pcs), 6 × shelf 37 × 79 cm, 5 × strut set 25 cm (4 pcs). Configuration 4 · 3 shelves: 1 × Legs 20 cm (6 pcs), 3 × shelf 37 × 150 cm, 1 × strut set 25 cm (6 pcs), 1 × strut set 10 cm (6 pcs). Configuration 5 · Cabinet with 2 doors: 1 × Legs 20 cm (6 pcs), 1 × cabinet 45 × 150 cm, 2 × door (veneer).
