In various versions and with optional accessories, the slender S 1200 bureau becomes a truly personal piece of furniture and turns working into an experience. The design by the Thonet Design Team is inspired by the company's own collection of classic tubular steel furniture. The key advantage of the S 1200 lies in its compact dimensions, which allow it to fit into even the smallest living spaces. The S 1200 is based on a considered tubular steel frame, whose incline makes standing up easy even in narrow corridors and alcoves. A footrest ensures a relaxed sitting posture. Accessories in flocked metal help keep the bureau tidy, in and on top: the S 1211 pen box, S 1212 A4 storage box, S 1213 multifunctional reading stand and S 1214 cable management set.
The S 1200 is a bureau on a tubular steel frame, chrome-plated as standard and fitted with plastic glides. A cabinet top sits on the 22 mm thick table top with rounded corners. The table top and cabinet top are chosen independently of each other: the table top as an MDF panel with real wood veneer or in ThonetDur®, the cabinet top also available with a lacquer finish. With a footprint of 110 x 67 cm, the work surface sits at 74 cm, and the bureau measures 88 cm in height including the cabinet top.
