Royal Botania Anamon: a parasol that opens like a flower
Anamon is not simply a parasol – it redefines how intuitive and elegant shade outdoors can be. Inspired by the grace of tube-dwelling sea anemones, Anamon opens like a blossoming flower: the engineering follows nature while keeping the silhouette deliberately restrained.
Anamon combines stability and flexibility in a unique way. While a parasol has to withstand the most varied weather conditions, Anamon is at the same time highly mobile. Thanks to its innovative wheel-shaped base it can be moved effortlessly and repositioned flexibly. Unlike conventional parasols, Anamon opens upwards and outwards. This means it can be opened comfortably without moving surrounding furniture or restricting the available space. This well-considered construction makes it the ideal solution for restaurants, terraces, hotel grounds and pool areas.
When Anamon is not in use, the upper cover clicks seamlessly into place and gives it an elegant, tidy appearance. At the same time it reliably protects the mechanism from rain, dust and dirt – a particular advantage in changeable weather or during the winter months. Should moisture nevertheless get inside, a discreetly integrated drainage system at the base channels the water away. The mechanism therefore stays clean, dry and functional over the long term.
The parasol works with a top-down opening mechanism: it unfolds from the top downwards and so keeps a pleasantly "clean" appearance as it opens. When closed, Anamon barely reads as a parasol at all – only on activation does it reveal its full function ("surprise reveal"). For everyday use in contract and private settings it is also designed so that opening works without rearranging the furniture.
After sunset Anamon becomes a light object: integrated warm-white LED lighting runs on a rechargeable battery – without cables. For straightforward handling the base is designed as a rollable unit, and a protective cover plus a drainage concept support use throughout the season.
