Organic evolution – Supernatural by Ross Lovegrove for Moroso
Supernatural embodies a multisensory formal language: delicate, flowing lines that can be experienced by touch and that invite discovery again and again. The buoyant forms unfold from the structure into the surrounding space and play with volume – now filled, now empty – so that light, air and body pass through and enliven it.
The perforated backrest creates an appealing play of shadows and deliberately recalls the delicate patterns of sunlight falling through leaves. Light, flexible in everyday use and extremely durable, Supernatural changes the traditional role of representative objects, bringing them into private space and into public areas without losing their characteristic presence.
Made as a one-piece shell in reinforced polypropylene, the chair is stackable up to eight high and suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
